Overview
Disable Right Click RB protects the content of your WordPress site from casual copying. Instead of one on/off switch, it gives you independent controls: block the right-click menu, text selection, copy shortcuts or image dragging — any combination — choose where the protection applies, and exempt your own team.
The free plugin covers everyday protection. The optional PRO add-on adds real image watermarking and fine-grained control over where and how protection works.
Installation
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New.
- Search for Disable Right Click RB, then click Install Now and Activate.
- Open RB Plugins → Disable Right Click.
Or download the plugin from WordPress.org and upload the disable-right-click-rb folder to /wp-content/plugins/.
No theme or template changes are needed.
Quick start
- Open RB Plugins → Disable Right Click and stay on the Protection tab.
- Under What to block, tick the protections you want — for most sites, Right click / context menu, Text selection and Dragging images out of the page.
- Leave Where on Everywhere on the site, or limit it to the content types you want to protect.
- Under Exceptions, tick the roles that should never be restricted — usually Administrator and Editor.
- Click Save changes. Settings are saved without a page reload and apply at once.
Log out, or open the site in a private window, to see it the way visitors do: exempt roles are never restricted.

Installing PRO
PRO is a small separate plugin, Disable Right Click RB — Key, that works on top of the free plugin.
- Keep Disable Right Click RB installed and active.
- Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the key’s ZIP file you received after purchase, and click Install Now, then Activate.
- Open RB Plugins → Disable Right Click. The Watermark tab and the PRO section of the Advanced tab are now unlocked.
Your settings stay where they are if you deactivate the key; the PRO features simply stop working until it is active again.
Upgrading from 1.0.x
Version 2.0.0 replaced the single on/off switch with separate settings. Your old setting is migrated automatically: if protection was on, Right click, Text selection and Dragging images are turned on — exactly what version 1.0.x did. Open the Protection tab after updating to fine-tune it.
